Obama - Jackass or Prince of Darkness?

President Barack Hussein Obama has bowed to royalty again, this time to Japan's Emperor Akihito (you may remember when he bowed to the Saudi King; see video below). The LATIMES blog cleverly headlines this with "How low will he go?"

It could be that the guy just isn't as bright or good on his feet as others would like to have us believe. Also, this might the Freudian slip that happens when someone who believes himself unworthy of his position meets someone who he believes is.

But it could also be that Barack Hussein Obama actually thinks the US President should be bowing to other world leaders because compared to other countries, the US kinda sucks. Too crazy to be true, of course, and probably also in bad taste. But what then? (Check out this video for the Saudi King bow):

Michael Moore at GW versus College Libertarian

Found this article/video over at Reason: Corporatism: A Love Story

As a conservative, I know I'm supposed to hate Michael Moore, but I don't.  I've also watched a little bit of him with Sean Hannity on FNC, which you can find at this link: Conclusion of Hannity-Moore Showdown.

Here again, I Michael Moore does not seem like the jerk he is so often made out to be.

Actually, I agree with a lot of what he has to say about the problems with today's American economy - debt, government favors to big business, the disparity in pay between CEOs and average workers.

Where I disagree with Mr. Moore is in the solution - his is for even more government, which would I think worsen the problems he is bringing attention to.  I think Moore must have grown up in a very liberal household, has been an ideological leftist his whole life, and is convinced that in his ideology lies the answers to America's problems.

BackyardCon: Bill Ayers Claims to Have Written "Dreams" (Rush Mentioned Today)

and if you can prove it, we can split the royalties - Bill Ayers to Anne Leary
Yesterday, Anne Leary of BackyardConservative reported that she met William Ayers in the Reagan National Airport and identified herself as a conservative blogger, and then unprovoked, Ayers claimed to have written Obama's Dreams From My Father.

You can read Leary's account (and updates) of this episode by clicking here. (Actually, she is skeptical of Ayers' claim.)

I was not sure how much media attention this story would get, but Rush Limbaugh mentioning it on his radio show guarantees some extra scrutiny. Rush suggested Ayers may have been joking and baiting a conservative blogger, but I think he was just being careful. He knows what the effect of his nonchalant mentioning something like this will have.

Also, there is more to this story. Here is the stories I've come across, in reverse chronological order:

To be sure, there has been more written about this; the above is the story as I have followed it and I do believe Cashill has done more research this story than anyone else.
